On May 18, 2014, a group of Texas Exes gathered at DC Central Kitchen to volunteer by giving back to the community. DC Central Kitchen fights hunger in Washington by preparing 5,000 meals every day which are distributed to nearby homeless shelters, transitional homes, and nonprofit organizations. As part of that effort, our volunteers helped with food preparation in a friendly and fun environment, all while chatting and getting to know each other. It was a great event, and we look forward to scheduling another volunteer shift at DC Central Kitchen soon!
