On Saturday, Feb. 21, Team DC Texas Exes battled it out with nine other talented teams at Hill Country DC's 2nd Annual Chili Cook-Off.  Well over 100 people braved the cold and unrelenting snow to sample a wide variety of chilis, vote for their favorite, and participate in a raffle. Proceeds from the event benefited the non-profit organization MicroGreens, a program that teaches kids to cook and enjoy healthy food options that can be purchased on "a government supplemented food budget".  While DC Texas Exes did not take home prizes this year, the team (Alexandra Ritchie, Crystal  Zhao, and West Garrett) met a lot of new people with Texas roots or connections and stood by their decision to incorporate Shiner Birthday Beer into their recipe.
